Lorie moved to Colorado Springs with her family in 1989. Between the ages of 14-17, she volunteered for over 600 hours at Memorial Hospital. She always knew that she wanted to work in the nursing field. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from UCCS in 2010. Lorie served the community working at Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse. In 2015, she graduated with honors from UCCS with a Master of Science in nursing. She is board-certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family nurse practitioner and is also a member of The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In 2017, Lorie received a full scholarship to UCCS for her psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) post master’s certificate.
Lorie is married and has two dogs, Indie and Zade. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, attending car shows during the summer months, and spending time with family and friends.
