National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners

Darlene became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care in 2024. She is grateful to have the opportunity to take amazing care of babies, toddlers, school-aged, and adolescents. Darlene’s career goal is to give back to the children and families of Colorado as she was a child of Colorado. She is fifth generation Coloradan and enjoys what Colorado offers. Darlene attended Hastings College in Nebraska and received a Bachelor of Arts with a major focused in Pre-Med. Afterwards she decided to go to Nursing School at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. With one year under her belt, CU Health Sciences Center moved to the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. She knew she had always wanted to medically improve health and care for patients, so she attended Walden University and received a Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in Pediatric Primary Care. Outside of work, Darlene spends time with her family, enjoys Colorado as mentioned, and teaches Sunday School to preschoolers and may be seen in the Church nursery filling in.
